Lou Lou’s Milton Keynes Vintage Fair

Lou Lou Blog Pic 2

The past few weeks have been a little hectic, if it’s not one thing it’s another right?! Because of the craziness my blog was put on the backburner for a few weeks. So it was so lovely when I received an email from Lou Lou’s team, inviting me along to check out their debut vintage event in Milton Keynes. Of course I jumped at the chance to spend a day doing something lovely rather than being up to my eyeballs in paperwork and to-do lists.

The event was held in Stantonbury Leisure Centre, which has plenty of free parking, which in turn means more money left for spending – bonus! As I walked in I was greeted by a fantastic atmosphere. Music was playing (classics from years gone by of course!), the event was buzzing with activity and full to the brim with treasures to be found.

There was so much variety on the stalls at the event, whether you’re into your clothing, accessories, homewares or trinkets, you’ll definitely be catered for at Lou Lou’s event. There were also a couple of boxes of vinyl to rifle through…

Every style is catered for too – whether you love pretty florals and ladylike styles, you’re a rockabilly chick or love your classic sportswear, you’ll find some great pieces. The guys are not forgotten either, as there was rail upon rail of great shirts, jumpers, braces and more! Not only were there some fantastic stalls to visit, there was also the chance to have your hair and makeup done in a vintage style which is amazing. Plus…a candy floss stand!

Lou Lou’s vintage event is definitely somewhere you could kill many an hour discovering some beautiful things. When you fancy a little break you can visit the tea room area, where you’ll be greeted by some beautiful cakes, lots of tea, juices and Coca Cola in their classic glass bottles of course! I chose to have a classic cream tea, you can’t beat it really can you? The scones were delicious (and huge!) and were paired with strawberry jam and clotted cream – yum!

Naturally, I couldn’t go home empty handed. So I treated myself to a Hell Bunny tartan skirt, ready for some festive times over the next few weeks! Plus, I also picked up a black and white checked tie-up style headband. I hardly ever wear my hair up, let alone any accessories in my hair, so I thought I’d change that up!

I had a fantastic time at Lou Lou’s Vintage fair and I’d highly recommend checking them out. The team hold events all over the country, so if you’re not based near Milton Keynes, you may find an event near you!
