It feels like it’s been months since I’ve properly treated myself to a few new fashion pieces. Most of my money has been put towards adulting recently e.g. home buying, car buying, new phone buying, broadband, council tax, bills bills bills… So I thought enough is enough! It’s time to get all fashiony again.
Obviously with all the grown up stuff I’ve had to pay for lately, I’ve felt a little skinter than usual (okay, being honest, a lot more skinter!) – so HELLO sales!
I’ve been trying to be a little different from my usual go-to styles, by choosing things I wouldn’t usually select. Fashion should be fun right?! So here’s my collection of recent buys…
I bought the top for £7 in the New Look sale. The images make it look a little brighter grey than it really is – it’s a warmer grey in real life and I love it! It’s a wrap style, with a D ring tie up, creating a lovely draped style – flattering for us curvier ladies! I like the simple chic “classy” look to this, I’m hoping I do it justice whilst pairing it with jeans (and obvs a top underneath!).
This little necklace was a right steal at just £2 from Diva jewellery by Miss Selfridge (picked up from their concession within Debenhams in the Milton Keynes branch). It’s simplistic yet graphic style lends itself to lots of outfits, so I can see myself wearing this piece to death!
Shoes! The shoes! I am in love with these lace-up flats from Oasis! The flat shoe section of my wardrobe had been looking a bit sorry for itself for quite a while now, so when I spotted these little beauties in the sale for just £10, they very quickly became my newest possession! As I write this they’re still available online at £15: Oasis Gilly Point Wedge shoes. I’ve been lusting after the lace-up flats look for a while, I think they’ll look fab with some turned up boyfriend jeans or cute dresses when it gets warmer. The zip detailing on the back looks pretty awesome too!
More shoes! Now these are definitely something quite daring for me to buy, they’re not something I would have ever picked up before, but do you know what? Yet again, I’m in love! I’ve always been one to like things that are a little bit quirky and these tick the box for me. They’re super fun to wear and look great paired with a simple black outfit or clashed with certain prints. They served me well whilst I took a trip to the Ideal Home Show at the weekend (click here to read my review!), with the low-ish chunky heel and elasticated sides, they’re pretty comfortable! Another bargain at just £10 from H&M.
So there you have it, proof you don’t need to spend a fortune to come home with some fab new fashion pieces that make you smile! I’d love to know if you’ve bought any fun sale items lately – drop me a link!
