Firstly, Happy Easter!! :):) If you’re anything like me, you’ve already eaten two Easter eggs, a whole heap of other chocolate and still have loads to get through. eeek!
Anyways, the 4 day Easter weekend is here and today looked like the only nice day out of them all with the others looking pretty rainy – sods law right?! So to make the most of it, me and Ian (the bf) went for a lovely walk by a beautiful river in the local countryside, fuelled on a breakfast of chocolate of course! We’re *so* glad that we bothered, because the weather was just beautiful, miles away from the coat and gloves temperatures we’ve seen lately.
Obvs, aside from the walk I roped Ian into taking some outfit photos for me for my blog (I say roped, he’s actually pretty damn awesome when it comes to helping me like this!). So here it is, my Easter OOTD featuring a couple of new items that I’d mentioned in my last fashiony post *here*.
You’re probably wondering why I’ve titled this post “being fashion brave”, well it’s because that’s exactly what I’m trying to achieve with my fashion choices lately. See I’ve been in a bit of a rut with my style and I felt it was time to get back into it and also try out a few things I wouldn’t usually opt to wear. So first up is my hat, I bought this about a week ago for £7 in the H&M sale – so go quick and you might find one! (Or you can buy it online at the full price still.) I’d been toying with the idea of having a hat like this for a while, but wasn’t sure if I could carry it off. So when I spotted this one in the sale I just went for it with the intention of making sure I made myself wear it!! So here I am, wearing a hat. Woo!
The top was a £7 bargain from the New Look sale. It has a luxe feel fabric in a wrap style and a D ring fastening – which seem to be all the rage lately. I feel it lends itself to being able to be dressed up or down, which is super useful! The drapey style is perfect for hiding the many Easter eggs that are hiding in my stomach, haha! :)
The jeans are an old pair of boyfriend jeans from M&S, I think they’re fab for jeans! I’ve turned them up to show a little more of my rather funky leopard print boots from H&M. These were another recent bargain for just £10 – another item I’m being brave about wearing, they’re not something I’d usually go for but I love them! I also paired them up with leggings and a black & white printed dress for the Ideal Home Show last weekend, so they’re really versatile.
So be brave! Wear that damn hat, rock those leopard print boots and wear exactly what you feel like wearing because life is too short! :)
I just also wanted to give a shout out to this little furry one… as we were walking back to the car, this beautiful little thing came running over to us completely out of the blue for fuss. It was so friendly, stretching up and bopping its head on my hand for fuss over and over again. My heart could have literally burst, it was ridiculously cute. Totally made my day!
Feel free to say hello! You can find me on…
