My Birthday Trip to Patisserie Valerie

I’m writing this as I lick the topping off a ridiculously yummy cupcake from Patisserie Valerie and no I’m not even sorry! It’s the beginning of my birthday week after all…so yes I will have my cake and eat it!

Yeap, it’s that time of the year again, my birthday, woo!! So to kick off a week of celebrations, me and my lovely friends popped along to Patisserie Valerie in Milton Keynes today to stuff our faces with a whole heap of deliciousness.

Patisserie Valerie is one of those places that I’d always walked past for years, lusting after the beautiful cakes in the window…but had never been in! What a mistake. I am so glad that I rectified this today.

We started our feast off with some super yummy lunches. I opted for the ham and cheese toasted croissant – oh. my. gosh. Please eat this. It’s amazing! I might go back tomorrow just for this…

My friends went for lasagne, poached egg on toast with bacon, cheese and tomato toasted croissant …and they all spoke very highly of their meals I’ll have you know!

Sooo…cakes cakes cakes! I had the double chocolate gateau, which had layers of chocolate sponge, cream and sheer deliciousness! Oh, and it had a profiterole on the top as if the cake wasn’t good enough ready… Other cakes that landed on our table included chocolate mousse, strawberry gateau and black forest gateau – let’s just say no one left Patisserie Valerie unhappy or feeling hungry!

Make sure you sign up to their mailing list too! I received a 10% off voucher and also a voucher for a free birthday cupcake (which is what I’m munching on whilst writing this…well, by this point I’m now trying to force myself to finish it as I’ve gorged on so much sugar today…I will *not* let it defeat me!!!) …so yeah, sign up! It’s worth it! :)

They also have a fab ice cream selection, extensive food & drink menu and afternoon tea available too! The choice is endless……it’s just a shame my stomach isn’t……

Do you have a Patisserie Valerie near you? Let me know your favourite cakes!! :)
