I love finding unique items…it’s like grown up treasure hunting!
I recently popped down to the latest instalment of the Etsy MK Artisan Market at intu Milton Keynes, to see what it was all about…and I must say I was blown away! The variety of absolutely gorgeous items for sale was amazing! From unique jewellery, to super cute homewares, yummy foodie treats and even the sweetest bandanas for dogs.
There was so much skill on display and such a variety of items, there’s definitely a stand for everyone no matter your style or interests.
I think it’s so lovely that these small local businesses have been given a platform within intu Milton Keynes, to help spread the word and say… “Hey! Look at these amazing things I make and sell!”
There will be another event coming up in a few months’ time, so do keep your eyes peeled for that. In the meantime, here’s a little taster of what was on display at the June Artisan Market at intu Milton Keynes…
How awesome is everything? I spied so many things that I wanted for myself but also items that would make perfect gifts for loved ones. I really think little events like this can help you find that truly personal gift that is *just perfect* for your loved one.
Besides from all the lovely bits and bobs, I have to say, that everyone I had a conversation with on the day was just so nice! So do spark up a conversation with the makers and sellers as you pop by, they’re truly lovely people.
Here’s the list of brands who were at the event… I hope I’ve listed everyone! If anyone is missing please email me and I’ll add you to the list.

On the day I was very thoughtfully given a box of gorgeous goodies from amazing local brands, both selling on the day and a few that weren’t. Here’s a little sneak peek at what was inside…
Despina’s Lights gave me a gorgeous peppermint (yum!) diffuser and a couple of red mandarin wax melts, so my home will smell super yummy this summer! Nutmeg Studio do the most amazing wall art stickers for your home, whether it’s for your bedroom, your kids’ rooms or any other room – they gave me these super cool Zig Zags wall art stickers. Don’t they look so funky?
If you love Milton Keynes, you’ll love Jen Rolfe’s work. She gave me this rather lovely Milton Keynes tea towel which is filled with Milton Keynes’ estates – how lovely! I think it would make such a lovely gift for someone who loves living here, or maybe has just moved into the area? She also gave me this really inspirational card, which says “dream it, do it, love it”… Such a lovely card to gift someone, or why not gift it to yourself for a bit of daily inspo? I think I’ll pop this up on the wall when I have a proper desk sorted out for my blogging.
The British Quill gave me an envelope which was the most beautifully packaged thing I have ever received. “Happy Mail” was noted on the front in gold and it was adorned with sprigs of lavender, just gorgeous. Inside was a collection of beautiful cards, you can see her “gin” and “thanks” ones above. I could only ever dream to produce such neat calligraphy.
Balancing full time work, blog work and all other life commitments and nonsense that comes up, is a nightmare sometimes. So I was so pleased to see the Arnold & Bird “Choose to shine” week planner in my box. I live and swear by to do lists, so this was just perfect for me to receive. I can’t wait to get super organised using this.
Flat 102 gave me the most apt little sign to hang up too… “Spread love as generously as you spread your Nutella”. Love it! Oh my, how I love Nutella. And yes, I do generously spread mine…if I’m not eating it straight from the tub with a spoon… Thank you Flat 102, I can’t wait to hang this up!
Then finally, we have two pieces of gorgeous jewellery – both of which I have taken on holiday with me this week. The first is by Clean & Sweet, who produce the most stunning pieces of dichroic jewellery…doesn’t it look amazing? The second piece is this intricately crafted beaded necklace by Fair Bloom. I spoke to the lady behind Fair Bloom jewellery at the Artisan Market, and she told me that she is influenced by the wonderful women in her life when it comes to creating her pieces. How lovely is that? The necklace is so beautiful.
It was all packaged in a fab white box by Rockbox, who provide you with personalised gift boxes – so do check these guys out too!
Thank you to all of those who gifted me items, I love absolutely everything.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post and exploring the types of items you can see at these lovely Artisan Markets at intu Milton Keynes. I can’t wait for the next event in a few months time…I think I might grab a few bits for birthdays & Christmas!
Do keep an eye on the intu Milton Keynes website and social media for the next event – www.intu.co.uk/miltonkeynes
