Day Dressing with Boohoo

Wearing a floral and check printed Boohoo Day Dress by a door in Stony Stratford

This morning, Ian and I had a little wonder around the lovely local town of Stony Stratford. An ancient coaching town, filled with gorgeous cottages and some beautiful shops… just perfect for getting a few Christmas present ideas. I also had a little mooch around the charity shops there hoping to find some treasures.

We stopped in Costa for a coffee and a bite to eat with Ian’s mum and nan too, which was so lovely. Sometimes it’s nice to stop rushing around on the weekends and enjoy the little things in life isn’t it?

The dress I’m wearing is a gorgeous little number from Boohoo.

I don’t know about you, but when I think of Boohoo, I immediately think of “going out” dresses – perfect for those nights out and parties. However, when I was approached by Boohoo to show how I would style up one of their dresses, I was so impressed with their collection of day dresses.

I’ve paired this floral check dress up with a pair of thick-ish black tights (it was a chilly morning… I was definitely feeling the cold with my arms out for these photos!), my new black Clarks boots which were an absolute steal from TKMaxx last weekend and are so super comfy, as well as my trusty round basket bag from Topshop – the “it” bag of the year!

This dress has a low-ish cut to the front, which is absolutely fine for evenings out for drinks or dinner in a bar or restaurant, but it was a little too cool this particular morning… So I wore a little black crop top underneath for a little more layering on this chilly day. I think it would look so nice with a pretty black lace topped crop top too.

The wrap-look dress has a lovely cut to it. It’s long at the back and comes up slightly on the side the skirt part wraps over too. It also has a little tie around the waist, which I tied into a bow on the side where the wrap over sits.

I love the ruffle sleeves, as they’re so flattering, perfect if you’re not super keen on the tops of your arms. The slight ruffle to the bottom of the dress is so pretty too!

The other great thing about Boohoo is that they are so affordable. This dress comes in at just £20!
